Lethal acrodermatitis (LAD)
LABOKLIN Service ID: 8273
Lethal acrodermatitis is characterised by skin lesions on the feet and on the face, leading to secundary infections with Malassezia and Candida. In addition, the lesions cause hyperkeratosis of the footpads and deformation of the nails. Affected puppies also suffer from diarrhoe, bronchopneumonia and a failure to thrive. First symptoms occur in the first weeks of life. Affected puppies typically die before they reach the age of two years.
