Material | EDTA plasma 0.5 ml (fasting required, refrigerated) |
Method | ELISA |
Species list | dog |

Remark | - To determine the concentration of nucleosomes, which are increasingly released during apoptosis; small amounts can also be detected in healthy organisms. If there is massive cell death (e.g. in neoplasia), they accumulate.
- indications: mainly haematopoietic neoplasms in therapy monitoring and early detection of relapse (e.g. lymphoma, haemangiosarcoma)
- Patients who are eligible for the test are “clinically healthy” and without inflammatory disease.
- recommendation: 4 hours fasting before sample collection
