Remark

  • To determine the concentration of nucleosomes, which are increasingly released during apoptosis; small amounts can also be detected in healthy organisms. If there is massive cell death (e.g. in neoplasia), they accumulate.
  • indications: mainly haematopoietic neoplasms in therapy monitoring and early detection of relapse (e.g. lymphoma, haemangiosarcoma)
  • Patients who are eligible for the test are “clinically healthy” and without inflammatory disease.
  • recommendation: 4 hours fasting before sample collection
