Parathormone-rP (Parathormone related Protein)
LABOKLIN Service ID: 1840
- Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to measure PTH-rP concentrations, as our partner laboratories are unable to carry out these tests at present due to supply shortages at the test kit manufacturer.
- PTHrP is a parathormone-like protein.
- The hormone is formed physiologically during growth and during pregnancy.
- This parameter should not be used to diagnose pregnancy, as the cut-off value depends on several factors and varies between individuals.
- Pathologically, it is secreted by different tumours, e.g. by some kinds of lymphoma, lymphosarcoma and anal sac carcinoma.
