Remark

  • Elevated levels indicate the presence of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
  • In differential diagnosis, prostatitis or prostate neoplasia can also lead to an increase. To confirm the diagnosis, an ultrasound, fineneedle aspiration, testing for BRAF mutation or a prostate biopsy are recommended.
