  • Determination of the von Willebrand antigen is used for further evaluation of coagulation disorders.
  • The von Willebrand disease (vWD) has been described in many dog breeds; only genetic testing can detect whether the disease is carried.

Material

Citrate plasma 1:10 (1 part citrate + 9 parts blood) 0.5 ml
(centrifuged immediately, pipetted off; frozen until arrival at the laboratory)
