Remark

  • First antibodies occur 2–3 weeks post infection. If the results of the serological examination are negative but animals are suspected of being infected, the test should be repeated, possibly several times, at intervals of 3 to 4 weeks.
  • Please note government regulations.
  • In Germany, the authorities must be notified of a positive Coggins test. A positive ELISA must be confirmed by a Coggins test.
