Therapy monitoring: Determination is suitable for monitoring phenobarbital and primidone therapy in dogs and cats. In dogs, primidone is immediately metabolised to phenobarbital. Determination should take place at the earliest two weeks after starting long-term therapy. Sampling can be done regardless of when the drug is administered.
