c-kit Mutation (dog)
LABOKLIN Service ID: 8199
It is tested whether there is a mutation in the c-kit gene.
The higher the histological grade of a cutaneous mast cell tumour (according to Patnaik et al. 1984 or Kiupel et al. 2011), the more likely it is that there is a mutation in the c-kit gene in exon 8, 9 or 11. Detecting the c-kit gene mutation helps to improve prognostic assessment and allows to design an individual treatment plan.
