D-Dimers
LABOKLIN Service ID: 95
D-dimers are generated by lysis of cross-linked fibrin. D-dimers are, for example, detectable if there are internal bleedings as well as in surgical interventions and neoplasia. Particularly high amounts of D-dimers are generated in case of thromboembolism and disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC). In diagnostic work, D-dimers are mostly used for DIC.
