Tumour diagnosis:

  • CD3/CD20 (if required CD79a/Pax-5) in lymphoma diagnosis
  • c-KIT expression pattern in mast cell tumours
  • Ki-67 antigen as proliferation marker
  • Cox-2, prostaglandin synthesis enzyme, in tumours possibly an indicator of the effectiveness of inhibitors (NSAIDs)
  • cytokeratin, vimentin, CD18, melan-A to differentiate between epithelial/spindle cell/round cell/melanocytic tumours

Infection diagnosis:
  • e. g. FIP virus
