Blood Parasites – microscopic

EDTA blood 1 ml + blood smear
Birds: EDTA blood or heparin blood 0.5 ml + blood smear
Reptiles: heparin blood 0.5 ml + blood smear

Reporting of results on the day the sample is received (Mon–Fri)

• useful in case of questionable blood parasites
• Please note that, in mammals, smears from heparin blood may not always be suitable due to the formation of artefacts.
• Please add anamnesis or questioning.
• Testing is particularly useful in acute stages of the disease.
