Brucella canis - Antibodies (RSAT)

LABOKLIN Service ID: 2069

Material

serum 1 ml

Method

rapid slide agglutination test (RSAT)

Species list

dog

Duration

1–2 working days; for export testing, the processing time may be longer as the results are sent together with the final report.

Remark

  • Agglutination tests are often required for entry into non-European countries.
  • The immunofluorescence antibody test (IFAT) is highly crossreactive with antibodies against related bacteria, e.g. Yersinia enterocolitica, and positive results should be confirmed by a Brucella canis agglutination test.
