Remark

  • Parameter for early diagnosis of renal dysfunction and protein loss via urine in dogs, cats and horses
  • Not conclusive in case of bloody urine or active sediment. In this case, there is no correlation between U-P/C and renal function.
  • Increased values can also be caused by fever, bacterial and inflammatory processes without there beeing renal dysfunction.
