- Gluten intolerance leads to different clinical pictures depending on the breed: gluten-sensitive enteropathy in the Irish Setter and canine epileptoid cramping syndrome (CECS, Spike’s disease, paroxysmal gluten-sensitive dyskinesia). Mixed forms with concurrent enteral and neurological signs have been described in the literature.
