• The test is performed in case of disorders of the sexual cycle (repeated determination), neoplasia of the ovaries, ovary cysts, suspected Sertoli cell tumour.
• In dogs and ferrets, permanently elevated levels can lead to thrombocytopenia and anaemia due to bone marrow depression.
• Male dogs: often feminisation syndrome if levels are elevated.
• Ferrets: part of the Ferret Profile for the diagnosis of hyperadrenocorticism.
