• To ensure a safe whole blood transfusion, the test includes the major and minor crossmatch test. (Major crossmatch test: donor erythrocytes + recipient plasma; Minor crossmatch test: recipient erythrocytes + donor plasma)
• Crossmatch tests for dogs and cats can also be sent out for use in the practice.
