Coat variant curly
LABOKLIN Service ID: 8629
Domestic cats have a variety of coat colors and hair types. Long and short hair phenotypes are common, but there are also other mutations that produce curly and nearly hairless coats. One of these mutations is in the gene Keratin 71 (KRT71) and causes the woolly rexoid hair of the Selkirk Rex breed. It is charctrerized by tightly curled hair shafts.
