\nWalk to Work” campaign raises \u20ac 8.000 for a good cause

Bad Kissingen – Running is not only good for health and the environment, but also serves a good cause at the veterinary diagnostics laboratory LABOKLIN: For all employees who came to work as walkers from 15 September to 15 October, each step was rewarded with \u20ac 0.01. In this way, a proud sum of \u20ac 8,000 was raised. In this way, the proud sum of 8,000 \u20ac was collected.<\/p>\n

Promoting the health of the workforce and protecting the environment is a major concern for LABOKLIN company owner and managing director Dr Elisabeth M\u00fcller. Hence the “Walk to Work” campaign, which can be seen as a continuation of the summer campaign “Cycle to Work”. At that time, an amount of \u20ac 2,000 was donated to the Kissinger Tafel.<\/p>\n

The staff decided democratically who should receive the donation this time. Most votes went to the Tierheim und Tierschutzverein Kreis Ahrweiler e. V., the Hospizverein Bad Kissingen e. V. and the Wannigsm\u00fchle Animal Shelter Foundation.<\/p>\n

The Tierheim und Tierschutzverein Kreis Ahrweiler e. V. has had a difficult few months since this year’s flood disaster. According to Claus-Peter Krah, 1st chairman, more than 100 orphaned animals were taken in after the flood disaster and unfortunately there was also a very high number of dead animals. With the LABOKLIN donation of \u20ac 4,000, part of which will be used for veterinary costs, the financial situation eases a little. V. ausgew\u00e4hlt. Laut Rita Hillenbrand, Leitende Koordinatorin des Hospizb\u00fcros, begleitet der Verein momentan mit 66 ehrenamtlichen Hospizbegleitern Schwerstkranke und Sterbende in der Region. Das Hauptanliegen bestehe darin, ein w\u00fcrdevolles Leben und Sterben in der Mitte der Gesellschaft zu erm\u00f6glichen. Dabei unterst\u00fctzt LABOKLIN gern mit einer Spende von 2.000 \u20ac.<\/p>\n

Die Stiftung Tierheim Wannigsm\u00fchle und das Tierheim-Team freuen sich ebenfalls \u00fcber 2.000 \u20ac. Nach dem Schock um die schreckliche Brandkatastrophe vom Juni, die durch einen technischen Defekt ausgel\u00f6st worden war, schaut man nun wieder zuversichtlich in die Zukunft und begr\u00fc\u00dft den Neubau des Hundehauses.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201eToll, dass wir mit unserer Herbstaktion einen so hohen Spendenbetrag zusammenbekommen haben. Ich freue mich nat\u00fcrlich, dass wir als tiermedizinisches Labor zwei Tierheimen unter die Arme greifen. Sch\u00f6n finde ich aber auch, dass der Hospizverein in den Fokus meiner Belegschaft ger\u00fcckt ist und wir auch hier f\u00fcr den letzten Lebensabschnitt etwas Gutes tun k\u00f6nnen.
