Reoviruses are non-enveloped double-stranded RNA viruses that are regeularly found in various bird species.
Reptiles
Reoviruses are often found in snakes and lizards, but occasionally also in turtles.In snakes and lizards they are associated with respiratory symptoms, particularly pneumonia. However, they could also be involved in skin lesions (papillomatous changes). In turtles reo viruses are associated with respiratory symptoms and stomatitis.
