  • Hypoalbuminaemia results from loss of albumin (kidney, intestine, haemorrhage), albumin synthesis disorder (liver) and, to a mild extent, inflammation. Albumin is a negative acute-phase protein.<\/li>
  • Cattle: hypoalbuminaemia, particularly in hepatic diseases, reduced feed intake and inflammation.<\/li>
  • Increased levels are mainly found as relative hyperalbuminaemia in case of dehydration.<\/li>
