The tests listed for the diagnosis of viral infections include antibody and antigen detection as well as molecular biological methods (PCR, realtime PCR, droplet digital PCR) for pathogen detection. Additionally, you will find information on pathology (histology, cytology).

For reptiles, we also offer growing viruses in cell culture for cases in which the above-mentioned diagnostic methods are not possible or have not yielded findings that match the clinical picture. For this, we need tissue or a swab, each in cell culture medium (which we will gladly provide) or, if necessary, in some sterile physiological saline solution. For the cell culture, a test duration of at least 4 weeks should be expected. No further reference to this testing option will be made in the following.
