Bilirubin crystalluria

Bilburin may crystallize in urine by forming yellow red or reddish-brown needles or grains. Crystals of bilburin may be observed in high concentrated urine from clinical unsuspicious dogs. If they’re to be found in high number in serial urine samples, it’s assumed that there is a disorder of the bilirubin metabolism.
