  • Steroid-responsive meningitis-arteritis (SRMA) is an autoimmune inflammation of the meningeal vessels, characterised by an increase in IgA in serum and cerebrospinal fluid. Elevated IgA in cerebrospinal fluid is a highly sensitive and specific marker for SRMA. Serum IgA may also be elevated, but is less specific.<\/li>
