  • \u03b3-GT is a membrane-bound enzyme found primarily in the liver and bile ducts. Elevated activity in serum\/plasma occurs mainly in liver disease and cholestasis.<\/li>
  • Horse:<\/strong> Significant increase in activity in cholestasis. Elevated concentrations may also be seen in other diseases with liver involvement (e.g. colic, enteritis).<\/li>
  • Cattle:<\/strong> \u03b3-GT correlates with the degree of hepatic fatty degeneration and parenchymal swelling.<\/li>
