These examinations can lead to diagnostic issues which can often already be answered from the submitted material. In addition to immunohistology for tumour diagnosis, molecular biological clonality testing can help clarify lymphomas in dogs and cats. If urothelial carcinoma (transitional epithelial carcinoma) of the bladder is suspected in dogs, material containing suspicious epithelial cells can be tested for the BRAF mutation.<\/p>\n
